I am over 30 and a skincare newbie. Which would probably horrify a lot of people.

I think aging is at the bottom of my list of problems - but I have to say I am very much impacted by society's view of women aging and it has been on my mind lately.

Either way, it's not something I let overtake my life. I wear what I want, I do my hair however makes me feel great and I put on my face things that I enjoy and don't take up much time.

As all skincare journey's are like - for me its been a trial and error run. I asked my friends, researched and was sucked into ads for skincare before I bought anything. Now I have multiple products which I am sure do the same thing but nonetheless are fun to try.

Skincare has not drastically changed the way I look - there is a strange stigma around it where influencers and advertisements will make you believe that it will do so. 'Drastically turn around the aging process' or 'Get rid of fine lines and wrinkles'. Look, in the end, aging is natural, and its one of the few consistent things we have in our life so don't be afraid of it, and don't pick at yourself when you do start to notice the natural phenomenon.

Recently I tried out two of Ella Bache's products (gifted, not paid) and these were what I noticed after a week (keep in mind a week isn't very long) in addition to a moisturizer between these steps which I believe might be the wrong one for me (its a Beauty of Joseon one) -

- Unlike most serums that I have tested, this one has a slight scent - it smells a bit like flowers, I like it.

- It spreads light and does not leave any sticky residue

- My skin is a little more glassy during the day which I like

- I have noted less small pimples popping up this week - unsure if that is directly to do with this, the below mist or something else.

- Smells like citrus and a nice last step addition to the routine

- Easy to apply over face and décolletage

- I like the idea of a last skincare step that protects my face from pollutants

- My skin does not dry out during the day
